Popular psychological tests have the nature of stimulating the interest and motivation of respondents, which can avoid the problems that academic psychological tests have. This chapter reviews examinations of development of the popular psychological test with academic validity. In my previous studies, The Big Five Inventory (BFI) and four temperaments of the Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI-4) were selected as academic psychological tests. A popular psychological test was created by the author and colleague. Matches between academic tests and popular psychological tests was conducted according to seven steps. In the matching between the results of the BFI and those of the poplar psychological test, the maximum concordance rate between the estimated grouping based on indicators derived from the poplar psychological test and the actual grouping based on the scores of the BFI was up to an above 90%. In the matching between the results of the TCI-4 and those of the poplar psychological tests, the maximum concordance rate was up to an above 95%. It is possible to create a popular psychology test with academic validity. Such a test would make a significant contribution to the field of personality psychology and has the potential to spark innovation in this area for the foreseeable future.
